The solo project of Billy Alletzhauser, Euxine combines roots in pastoral folk and indie pop and combines them with psychedelic and avant-garde textures to create sometimes gentle and sometimes devastating compositions for the end of the world. Explorations wander from doom, trance, free jazz, and rock while holding the earnest heart of a balladeer in their center.
Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, Alletzhauser was steeped in local punk, hardcore, and indie rock from an early age. As a teen his bands shared stages with punk legends like The Exploited, Agnostic Front, Government Issue, Pussy Galore, All, and Nirvana. Later he joined Ass Ponys, then helped form Ruby Vileos, and eventually started his own band, The Hiders, in the early 2000s.
