Esterline’s musical journey began in the most intimate way possible—at three years old, sitting on his father’s lap, hands exploring the keys of a synthesizer. When his father passed away just a year later, those keys became his constant companion, marking the beginning of a lifelong relationship with sound that has spanned over three decades.
Since 1991, Esterline has been translating the music that perpetually plays in his mind into tangible form. What started as childhood sessions on pianos and organs at his grandmother’s houses evolved through his first Casio keyboard and eventually to his prized Casio HT-700, acquired in the mid-80s, where he began programming his own beats and became a fixture at the local music store.
For Esterline, music-making isn’t driven by grand philosophy or artistic theory—it’s an unavoidable compulsion, a necessary release of the sounds that exist in his head. This instinctive approach has led him to experiment with drum machines and any device capable of producing sound throughout his life, always following the simple directive of bringing his internal soundscape into the external world.
